On a rainy day when all the little kids stayed indoors, 3 little kids were sitting at a quiet corner of their nursery play room reading a big Book of Tales. Suddenly mummy came in to the room telling her kids that the roof is leaking and told them to stay inside the room and not to come out because a constructor would come anytime to fix the roof. The kids knodded their heads and continued reading.
Then, the door bell rang and mummy greeted the constructor. The constructor was a big man and he entered the living room with his heavy boots. STOMP! STOMP! He went.
The kids heard some banging and stopped reading to listen what it was. The man then walk up the stairs. BUMP CREAK! BUMP CREAK! It went. The kids listen to the horrible noise closing in on them. Then suddenly the shadow of a big wolf appeared on the walls and the kids scream! Mummy entered the room and looked at the kids hiding around the room and laughed at them. She told her kids she will be heading out for awhile and warned them not to come out again before she closed the door and left. The kids cuddled together and the constructor was set to fix the roof.
The kids was terrified at the noises made outside the doors and they planned to get rid of the wolf. They grabbed their weapons and head towards the door and on attempt to open the door, then thunder and lightning flashed into the room and one of the kids hit the fish bowl and it dropped onto the floor. The constructor heard the commotion and jumpped off the ladder with a loud THUMP! The kids were then petrified. The wolf knocked on the door and the kids too frighten to move, stood trembling.
They huddled together and the room suddenly lightens up. The kids looked up and it was mummy! They ran to her with tears and looked at the door which it closed slowly and the shadow was pushed back out the door. A knock came to the door and mummy when out and sent the constructor out. The kids then sat back together and resume reading. The next story in the Book of Tales were the Big Bad Wolf and the 3 little red riding hoods. Mummy suddenly came into the room telling them grandma just phoned over. The kids then got up, screaming and running around.
